Its flowing form surrounds a faceted Gold Tektite, also known as Libyan Desert Glass, a rare natural glass formed around 29 million years ago in the Sahara following a high-energy atmospheric meteorite impact.

Gold Tektite has long fascinated collectors for both its extraordinary origin and its connection to ancient Egypt. Libyan Desert Glass was famously used within a scarab found among the treasures of Tutankhamun.
